Why should you wear your seat belt

Photo
Today students from LS2 said their speech to our groups we were put in. This screenshot on the top is my rubric about my speech. After I said my speech my group worked together to decide what  my score was. From this rubric I learnt that I used a loud clear voice.
Why should you wear your seat belt
As you have probably heard, Ronald McDonald sang a song about seat belts so you should listen to Ronald and Make it Click cause if you're in the back seat and if your the front click goes your seat belt click click click.

Everybody makes choices every day. It could be something basic like what colour of suit should you wear or something like that should I put on a seat belt. I hold the opinion that all of these choices have an impact on our lives.

Seat belts save more than 13,000 lives a year. Compared with other age groups, teens have the lowest rate of seat belt use. Only 53 percent of high school students reported always wearing a seat belt when riding with someone else.

I believe that everybody who is a driver, any passenger, and everybody whose means of transport is a vehicle should and is supposed to put on a seatbelt. When you are driving or even riding in a vehicle, putting on your seat belt will bring down your chance of death or serious injury  in case of a serious accident.

I hope all of you who are listening to this speech today make the bigger choice of wearing your seat belts in your day of travelling even around the corner. The rate of deaths has been on the rise and this has concerned me. This has my urge to do this speech. Therefore I have information on this topic.

We all know that we like to slouch or lean against the windows during the transport. But it makes a difference in terms of safety. Have we sat upright when using seat belts.

Dog Report

Dog Report

Dogs are one of my favourite animals. They can be your best friend. I think dogs are a lot of fun. There are different kinds of dogs but they all need food, special equipment and care.

There are lots of different kinds of dogs. Dogs come in all sorts of different breeds, some dogs are mixed breeds. Some of the most well known breeds are: German Shepherd, Poodle, Spaniel, Labrador, and Boxer. Sometimes mixed breeds have some funny names. For example if you cross a labrador and a poodle you have a labradoodle.

Dogs like to eat food that is why the owner of the dog will give them breakfast, lunch and dinner but if it is a different type of breed then it might not have lunch. Providing the dogs with food will make them happy and healthy. Some dogs like to eat jelly meat or meat rolls. Dogs also need water, they will have their own type of water bowl.

Dogs have equipment for example a collar and a leash. You always need a collar and a leash because you need to take your dog for a walk. Sometimes people like to buy more equipment to keep their dog healthy. Such as beds, tunnels and equipment for food and water.

Everyone who has a dog needs to be able to take care of them. Dog owners need to make sure that whenever there dog is injured you will need to take them to the vet. They will either have to get injections or different types of surgery if they are hurt.
In conclusion, all the different kinds of dogs need food, equipment and care, and they are all lot of fun. Dogs can be your best friend so that is why they are one of my favourite animals.

Here is my Dog report. This report tells you my introduction, my four paragraphs  and my conclusion. This also tells you a lot of true information about dogs. About  kinds of breeds, food, equipment and care.

DRAFT - 3 Sentences

One early winter morning a boy named Connor and his sisters Emily and Amelia were walking to school. Until they bumped into a stranger that had blood running down his coat. Their faces went purple as the stranger was staring at them. He grabbed something out of his coat which was a razor sharp knife. As he brought it out they figured that it actually wasn’t a real knife, it was just a fake to make the kids scared. Emily and Amelia ran to hide in the trees with Conner right behind them.

Makeing a Informed choice

Should New Zealand change their flag?

Should we change the flag? We got into our thinking groups and made a t chart, we had to make a side with why we shouldn’t change the flag and why we should change the flag? We then had to listen to everyone in the group, we had to respect their idea and listen. Some people in our group went on their netbooks to find evidence on their answers for an example how many years the flag has been flying for. We then had to sit on the mat and listen to everyone else’s ideas. We had to be very respectful with their answers. Many people had reasons to why we should keep the flag or why we shouldn’t. Our LI was: to make an informed choice. Our SC was to: read both sides of the t chart, respect people’s choices and to choose the right t chart side which really matters to you. The main focus was to make an informed choice and to respect people’s choices. At the end of that we had to vote for the currency flags.
