In writing we had a look at two word sentences, two word sentences are simple sentences. Using the simple sentence we added in FANBOYS which makes it a complex sentence which joins two simple sentences or ideas together with a connective. Using the complex sentence we used AAWWUIBBIS to make it a compound sentence.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson, and Ms Kirkpatrick.

Complete the Contraction - Mishaan
Today we had writing. For this task we had to complete the contraction. This was a really easy task to complete because all we had to do was write the contract word. My favourite word that I contracted was it. An example of an contraction is I will. The contraction to this word is I'll. My layout has a lot of room but that is OK. Here are some other contractions that you might like.

Similes
In writing I had to make a DLO based on Similes. A simile compares two things using the words 'like' or 'as'. In my DLO you will see what a simile is and some other examples of a simile. For example she is as quiet as a mouse or that is good as gold, these are all examples of what a simile looks like. I have also added in images to give examples.

Can’t believe they made us do this!
I felt very nervous in the dark. My heart was racing, we set off behind each other in a line.We walked very slowly step by step, with other shoulder in front of us for us to see.
We were greeted by the glow worm community. As each step we took we got further along the pathway as we all grabbed on each other and came closer. I could feel mud going throw my shoes. Each time the light went out the chatter of insects got louder and the screams of classmates came closer.
As we tiptoed across the small bridge Mrs A and Mrs C was taking a photo of a huge spider. Mrs C shone the light at the spider and Mrs A screamed when the spider came back and stared at us. We were so excited to see the lights back at camp until a cricket started heading towards us on the deck.
Last week the year 7's and 8's went on camp to Kokako Lodge. This recount is about our night walk. The night walk was really scary when everyone turned their torches off and all we could see was the darkness coming for us.

What if bees were big as a cat
What if bees would be big as cats
If bees were big as cats you would get stang really easily and if to have a shower it would sting really bad. If bees were really big it would smash your window and when you are sleeping they’ll would be stinging you all night and when you wake up your body would have to go to the hospital and you never know what they would do?
If bees would be big as a cat they would have to find a house and if your dog has a doggy house all the bees would sting your dog and cat and all your pets would be stinged and then you would have to take them to the vet.
If you want a bee that is big as a cat and you're really sure you want it for a pet make sure you have nice food, no pets and have a bee costume.
