Tech @ tamaki college

Today at Tech in our food technology we made Quiche. Since this was quite easy considering we made little smaller version last week. I got to prepare our fillings and my partner that helped me was Mia. The fillings were bacon, cheese, onion and cream cheese it seemed simple but it was really good. It was a long process of steps but we finally made our quiche. 

Tech - Ms Heka

Today we went to Tamaki college for our first day at tech. We have our sessions at food tech with Ms Heka. At tech we made spaghetti, bacon, cheese, and pineapple in bread which looked like cupcakes. Before we even started to do anything first we had to get our trolley that had our medium bowl, wooden spoon, 2 measuring cups, 2 choping boards, and a pink and green knife. We needed these tools because the medium bowl was used to mix all our ingredients in, spoon to mix our ingredients, 1 measuring cup is for the cheese and the other measuring cup was for the pineapple. Mia and I helped each other dice up the bacon, we also helped each other dice up our pineapples. When it was time to place our bread in our muffin trays it was a little bit hard because it kept on breaking so then Ms Heka told us to push the middle of the bread. Now everything goes into the bread and now it is in the oven. We take it out with oven gloves to be safe. Yuum they are delicious. Thanks to Ms Heka for preparing this for the year 8's.   

Jean Batten Timeline

This week in  inquiry our first task was to make a timeline in chronological order. This specific timeline was about the famous aviator Jean Batten since our Inquiry topic is Flight this would specifically be about aviators and pilots etc. I worked collaborative with Harlem and Mia. We first had to gather information about Jean then had to write it in time order followed by images. I learn so much about this person . I learnt that she is the first women to fly herself across the South Atlantic Ocean.

This is Mia and me we made fruit salad at tech today.Next we cut the Apples Then the grapes kiwi fruit and orange last but not least pineapple in its goes in the bowl .We  learn how to use a Knife so we can not cut are self and overs too.We to eat we side thanks for having as to day.We got on the bus Mia and I made some more for are wonderful teachers at are school. 

Tech Class

This is when I went to cooking class with Mia and the years 7.
We made Smoothies It was great. I did not like the Smoothie because it had with mixed berries , apricot yogurt , powder milk and rotten banana.
Then we mixed all the   ingredients 
into a bowl we put it in to 
the Machine so it can taste nice
when we drink it.
After that we we washed dried
 and packed away so we could drink it.
